Monivae College was founded in Hamilton, Victoria, by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC) in 1954. Monivae College is one of only two Catholic, co-educational secondary day and boarding schools in Victoria.
With its enrollment of around 600 students, the College has grown remarkably since its inception in 1954. The College offers a very broad curriculum and extensive co-curricular programs including a cadet unit and trips to Papua New Guinea, Kiribati and Bathurst Islands. I
n the senior curriculum VET, VCAL and over 30 VCE subjects are offered. The College's student wellbeing program is incorporated into and supported by a ministry team in the spirit of the MSC ethos and vision, which sees MSC schools recognise the importance of balanced human development and striving to help young people achieve their full potential in all areas of life, and to be ready to show initiative in parish, religious and civic life. With care, compassion and understanding as their hallmark qualities, MSC schools strive to build a community of faith among staff, parents and students, where great value is placed on commitment, trust and acceptance of others in fostering the growth of the community.
