Teach in Western Victoria
An authentically AUSTRALIAN teaching adventure
The Catholic Diocese of Ballarat supports 63 primary and secondary schools educating around 18,500 students and employing 2,500 educators and support staff across Western Victoria, AUSTRALIA.
We have a range of F-12 teaching opportunities available and are keen to hear from international teachers interested in a supported, authentic, and rewarding Australian teaching experience.
Our schools are located across a vibrant region of Western Victoria from the Murray River in the north, to the iconic Great Ocean Road in the south, and west to the world-renowned Grampians National Park and South Australian border.
The welcoming Aussie spirit of regional Victoria is legendary, and our diverse communities offer authentically Australian lifestyle and adventure opportunities, from culture and history to wildlife and the outdoors, sports, food, and wine, and all within reach of the world city of Melbourne.

Testimonial
We weren't sure what to expect when we arrived to teach in Victoria but the great support from DOBCEL in Ballarat and our colleagues here in Swan Hill helped us to settle in very quickly.
The people here are very welcoming and friendly and the weather is incredible. Our children have settled in really well and have made plenty of friends in their new school.
St. Mary MacKillop College is a very inclusive and welcoming environment with a great staff, and we feel fortunate to have the chance to work here.
We are really glad we opted to come here and experience Australian life and culture in all its splendour.
It is a beautiful country with so much to do and see and we are looking forward to exploring as much of it as we possibly can.
