DOBCEL Strategy 2035
From the Murray to the Sea, DOBCEL aims to realise a vision of the ‘fullness of life for all’ for over 19,000 students across a community of 66 Catholic primary and secondary schools.
While data shows our Diocesan system of schools is performing well, standing still as an education system is not an option in our ever-changing world. We are also committed to addressing the educational disadvantage that exists for students outside metropolitan areas.
Governance
The DOBCEL Board & Committees
The Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL) Board governs Catholic schools across the Diocese of Ballarat, building on more than 170 years of Catholic education. Established by the Bishop in 2021, DOBCEL assumed responsibility for 56 parish schools (with further schools joining in 2022) to provide consistent, professional governance that supports principals, teachers, and parish priests in their ministry.
