Trinity College Colac offers Catholic co-educational secondary schooling to over 740 students from Colac, the surrounding rural area and the nearby town of Apollo Bay. In 1968 Trinity College commenced as a secondary school for boys by the Christian Brothers. In 1983 the amalgamation with St Joseph's College, a school for girls run by the Sisters of Mercy, was finalised.
Our vision is to provide a vibrant learning community where our students are inspired to reach their potential in a happy and supportive environment. To attain this goal and in the spirit of our founders Edmund Rice and Catherine McAuley, we value our community by placing great emphasis on our Catholic ethos. We encourage all to contribute to our College in a positive manner, with a sense of belonging, tolerance and care for others.
We value our learning by cultivating life-long learners with a thirst for knowledge and a quest for understanding. To this end, we place great emphasis on pastoral care and on the development of life skills so all our students will bravely and passionately undertake the explorative journey of self-awareness now and in the future.
In accepting the call of Jesus, our Trinity College community places great value on social justice: we act with hope and love to bring about a socially just world.
