St Patrick's College is a Catholic secondary school for boys located in Ballarat, Victoria. The College was founded in 1893 and caters for both day and boarding students with an enrollment of approximately 1,200 students from Years 7 to 12.
The College's teachings are based upon the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the charisma of Edmund Rice, founder of the Christian Brothers. This charisma is reflected in the College's inclusive enrollment policy, an established indigenous education program and engaging relationships between students, teachers and parents.
The College offers a broad range of curricular and co-curricular options to cater for all boys. The College offers in excess of 30 VCE subjects plus internal VET units in building and construction, hospitality and sport administration. This breadth of choice is highlighted by the wide range of vocations that graduates enter following their secondary schooling, ranging from tertiary studies to traineeships and apprenticeships.
The College has highly renowned music, cultural and sporting programs and has many highly decorated past scholars including Raimond Gaita, Cardinal George Pell, Steve Bracks and AFL player Drew Petrie.
