Swan Hill – St Mary MacKillop College

MacKillop College in Swan Hill is a Catholic co-educational school with an enrollment of approximately 500 students who come from the Swan Hill, Balranald and Kerang regions. While the core values of the school are centred on knowing and living the gospel message of Jesus Christ, the College also maintains a strong commitment to the charisma of the Josephite Order who established the school in 1987. The school achieves its mission by seeking to develop the potential of all members of the community including spiritual, academic and sporting dimensions. Some unique features of the school are: the recent upgrade of facilities and a new College library; the introduction of a range of curriculum activities such as VCAL and VET programs to cater for a wide range of students. The school plays an important role in the wider community as being only one of two secondary school providers in the immediate region. The unique features of the school also indicate an extensive wellbeing program to assist students and their families who are currently dealing with nine years of ongoing drought.
