St Alipius Parish Primary School is a Catholic primary school in the city of Ballarat with an enrollment of around 280 students. St Alipius began as a tent school on the Ballarat East goldfields in 1853. From these humble beginnings grew a school recognised for nurturing the growth of children within a warm, welcoming, faith-filled community.
We are committed to excellence in educational outcomes; ensuring that people learn together in a safe, respectful environment. Our programs develop students' capacities: to manage themselves as individuals and to understand the world in which they live and act effectively.
We recognise the early years as a time of wonder and discovery, building each child's confidence, sense of wellbeing and willingness to learn. Our middle years curriculum builds students' capacities as independent, responsible and technologically-capable learners.
Our school is involved in Bluearth-a health and movement program that develops the whole child. Students participate in a range of experiences, including visual and performing arts, French, swimming, camps and athletics programs.
Our parent community is engaged in all aspects of school life providing leadership and support.
