Services to Schools
Catholic schools nurture students throughout their educational journey with a deep connection to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Working in partnership with parents, parish and the broader community our schools provide an environment which enables all students to learn and flourish as a part of their human development.
The Ballarat Diocese encompasses a range of schools including several small schools in rural and remote areas as well as large schools in regional centres. In partnership with schools, DOBCEL ensures each school is adequately and equitably resourced through the provision of centralised services. This requires a system approach to funding and the establishment of a range of positions at Catholic Education Ballarat (CEB) to deliver school-based services. At the same time, DOBCEL works toward creating an atmosphere of local autonomy and responsibility within each school community.
The CEB team provides a service to schools in pursuit of the provision of quality learning programs for all students, and aims for every student’s needs to be met; both in wellbeing and academic fields. The team works both collaboratively and independently as required, utilising the collective and individual knowledge and skills to assist schools. We encourage all to strive for personal and continual improvement, and endeavour to provide current, future-focused and practical supports.
