As part of DOBCEL’s commitment to supporting the growth of its early career teachers, 41 teachers gathered in Halls Gap last week for a two-day retreat.

The theme of the retreat was “On Holy Ground – A time to Nurture our Spirits” and provided an opportunity for the teachers to pause and nurture their spirits by connecting with what is important for themselves, making space for others, space for God, and creation.

Huge thanks to the many schools that provided coverage for the early career teachers to be released from their classes for this important personal growth and collegial opportunity.
