Diocese of Ballarat Catholic Education Limited (DOBCEL) schools are located within a diverse and geographically extensive diocese extending across Western Victoria, from the Murray River to the Southern Ocean. DOBCEL governs 56 parish schools, and 8 schools and colleges are governed by Religious Institutes or Ministerial Public Juridic Persons. DOBCEL partners with all schools in the diocese to promote Catholic identity, deliver quality learning, enable effective stewardship and nurture respectful and trusting relationships with the community.
As the administrative arm of DOBCEL, the role of Catholic Education Ballarat is to provide support, service and leadership to Catholic Primary and Secondary schools in the Diocese of Ballarat. We seek to engage with and influence the people who make a difference in schools. Our central purpose is to build capacity in Principals, Leaders, Teachers and Students to ensure the continuing development and growth of individuals.

Education Officer (Learning and Teaching)
Full-time, 3-year fixed-term position or secondment
Location: Mildura, Swan Hill or Horsham
Catholic Education Ballarat is seeking an Education Officer (Learning and Teaching) to join our Educational Services Team. Working with highly motivated colleagues, this is an opportunity for you to use your professional skills and knowledge to work with schools and influence improved learning outcomes for all students. Major responsibilities will include:
- supporting the development and delivery of strategic system-wide initiatives and policies to enable schools to create safe, inclusive and respectful learning environments;
- assisting school staff members or teams to plan and implement programs;
- partner with Educational Consultants to facilitate comprehensive and integrated service to schools.
